Launching our idea to change the way we do auctions!

We have been running non profit auctions for about 1.5yrs now and it has taken up a lot of our time while we are also running busy households and our own businesses.  As a result we have taken a break from auctions over the last few months and realised that the amount of work going into it was just too much so we have decided to start charging for pages to enter the auctions.

Our idea is to run a 3wky auction where pages can enter up to 4 photos for £1.00 and it runs over a wk end.

Now as well as the auction for one week every month we will also have a specials deal where pages that have paid to enter the auction can also put items up for sale in the specials album and those special deals are available for that week only.

It means that not only are pages getting to have certain items sold in the auctions they also get the chance to have a reduced item available for sale and the amount of foot traffic is enhanced not to mention the possible sales.

We will trial it for a few months and see how it goes and if it seems popular then we will continue it and maybe increase it to 2 wkly or scrap it altogether if not getting that much participation.

Our job of course will be to get the word out their to a wider audience and to keep up with questions and comments and try to re-direct people to the participating pages as much as possible.

So all we need to do now is work out when we are going to start our first auction and specials event!
