Page of the week - My Beatiful Things!

Goodness me it's November already!  It happened so quickly we forgot we were meant to do a page of the week last Thursday!!

I think it was the pretty owl hat that got me and then the gourgouse baby on their cover page!

So just to give a short summary, this page makes and sells handmade crochet goodies!  They make  hats that can be made to any size and colour andhat and scarf combinations are also available. *Page of the week* - New feature!

So facebook have started the "fan of the wk" tool and it got us thinking.  Why not do a page of the week as well?  Though we will choose the page and then we feature it here on our blog!

It's always nice to be chosen for something and might help to get more footprints through your page.....super.

So been hitting the shops a lot lately and have noticed the increasing amount of everything christmas!

I know it's not far away but it just seems like Christmas should be quite a while away but the reality is it's not!

Anyway we have been on the hunt for some lovely christmas decorations.  We are in the process of getting that blog sorted so stay tuned!

Winter is coming!

So it seems we did not get a fair deal this year with the weather and while it is rather unfair we do need to embrace the winter months that are on their way.

We put a shout out on fb earlier to ask any pages who sells/makes winter clothing to let us know.  Well we have had a look at the pages and while each page had some lovely things we could only choose a few!

Launching our idea to change the way we do auctions!

We have been running non profit auctions for about 1.5yrs now and it has taken up a lot of our time while we are also running busy households and our own businesses.  As a result we have taken a break from auctions over the last few months and realised that the amount of work going into it was just too much so we have decided to start charging for pages to enter the auctions.

Our idea is to run a 3wky auction where pages can enter up to 4 photos for £1.00 and it runs over a wk end.

Now as well as the auction for one week every month we will also have a specials deal where pages that have paid to enter the auction can also put items up for sale in the specials album and those special deals are available for that week only.

It means that not only are pages getting to have certain items sold in the auctions they also get the chance to have a reduced item available for sale and the amount of foot traffic is enhanced not to mention the possible sales.

We will trial it for a few months and see how it goes and if it seems popular then we will continue it and maybe increase it to 2 wkly or scrap it altogether if not getting that much participation.

Our job of course will be to get the word out their to a wider audience and to keep up with questions and comments and try to re-direct people to the participating pages as much as possible.

So all we need to do now is work out when we are going to start our first auction and specials event!

Our First post!

Welcome to our new blog!

We have been wanting to create a blog for our page for a while now but with babies and work getting in our way it has been difficult to put aside some time!

Mumtrepreneurs Combined on Facebook has been running for over 2 years now and we already have over 4,000 fans.  This page has been run by volunteers who have put a lot of work and effort into making it a sucess. 

We are hoping with this blog to gain a lot of follows as we have with our fb page and to continue to promote and help new and old businesses get their ideas and products out to a greater audience!
